Mathieu grew up in Paris, France and Brooklyn, New York. He studied business
and marketing at Brandeis University and Boston University, and towards the end
of his education, while still a student at NYU, Mathieu started his own business,
the first no-fee apartment listing service in New York. He achieved local celebrity
status due to his innovative product and an extensive television marketing
campaign, which featured Mathieu himself as “The No Fee Guy.”

He then spent five years as a well-known night club promoter, working with some of
the trendiest venues of the time, including The Limelight, Life, Au Bar and Les
Bains Douches.

Mathieu has spent his career on the marketing, sales, and business development end of the flexible workspace industry, having held senior level positions with the City Space Suites (which he co-founded), Tech Space, Silver Suites at 4 and 7 World Trade Center, and Servcorp at 1 World Trade Center. In 2012, Silverstein Properties hired Mathieu to help create, develop, and market the Silver Suites brand of high end serviced suites to be located in the World Trade Center buildings. Mathieu’s sales and marketing efforts propelled Silver Suites to a ranking in the top ten globally for most flexible space rented, with such blue chip clients as Four Seasons, Citadel, Wolfgang Puck, Westfield Properties, IEX Trading, Bisnow, and Spotify.
